Peugeot Boxer/Citroën Relay/Fiat Ducato Quaife ATB Diff Now Available
Quaife Engineering has designed and built the first batch of the renowned ATB differential for use in the Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay and Fiat Ducato commercial vehicle ranges.
All three vehicles are built as part of a joint venture between the PSA Group, (parent company to Peugeot and Citroën) and Fiat. They share the same transmission and running gear meaning the Quaife QDF20H is compatible with all three models.
Although the ATB differential is synonymous with high performance vehicles and motorsport applications, where added traction is so often called upon, the properties of this precision engineered product can also be of great use to drivers of commercial vehicles. This is particularly the case for those drivers who often deliver to rural areas where greater traction can be an important asset.
Demand for this new differential is also expected to be strong within the motorhome community. Peugeot, Citroën and Fiat have all been popular with motorhome conversion companies including Bailey, Swift and Moto-Trek. These vehicles have also been successfully adapted into horseboxes by converters such as Equi-Trek.
A direct replacement for the standard open differential, the Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential transforms on-road traction and road-holding abilities. QDF20H has many benefits over the standard open differential fitted to the Boxer, Relay and Ducato. These include maximising traction and minimising wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and snatching associated with front wheel drive vehicles compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.
The Quaife QDF20H is also subject to a lifetime warranty (terms and conditions apply) and is available exclusively through SLK-Moralis. Their details are as follows:
